THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED California Pizza Kitchen Restaurant Review

: Homesick Americans and others who seek fresh, reliable fare for the whole family will not be disappointed by CPK, a global chain founded by California doctors in the 1980s and still going strong. Value draws diners here, with set menus starting around US$10 but it’s the long list of more than two dozen crispy-thin pizzas that includes all the standards plus inventive versions like Santa Fe chicken, wild mushroom, mango tandoori chicken, and B.L.T. that make this a memorable meal. Favorite pies include the roasted garlic chicken, with its garlic-shallot butter, and the barbecued chicken, the most popular of the pizzas. Regulars get in the habit of designing their own. Try one of the pastas like the Thai linguine with spicy peanut-ginger sauce or even the more traditional pasta with carbonara sauce. The Asian influence extends to the bevy of healthy salads like the crisp Chinese chicken salad, which is highly satisfying. Salad portions are large but half-orders are also available. Soups come with fluffy fresh rolls and the sandwiches are made with good hearth-baked focaccia. Filling, festive desserts round out this reliable menu.
