California Pizza Kitchen Restaurant Review: CPK offers a broad range of dishes with international flavors. Offerings for lighter appetites called ‘small cravings’ include Tuscan panzanella salad and a spicy chicken tinga quesadilla with house-made ranchito sauce. Barbecued chicken is the most popular pizza, but we would go for the BLT pizza, the Jamaican jerk chicken pizza or white pizza with apple wood-smoked bacon and sautéed spinach. Options for customizing include honey whole-grain crust, and multigrain penne is available for many of the pastas. Salads are generously portioned, so keep in mind half-orders are available. Soups, appetizers, sandwiches made with good hearth-baked focaccia, and filling desserts round out the menu. Chocolate soufflé cake with fudge sauce is a favorite. In addition to wine and beer, there are martinis, mojitos, margaritas and a list of specialty cocktails.
