California Pizza Kitchen Restaurant Review: CPK may be a chain, but it doesn’t disappoint. The list of two dozen-plus crispy-thin pizzas includes all the standards, but there are also inventive versions like wild mushroom, mango tandoori chicken, and B.L.T.---complete with mayonnaise. We like the roasted artichoke and spinach and the Four Seasons with its savory blend of tomatoes, oven-roasted artichoke hearts, salami, mushrooms and fresh mozzarella cheeses. If you can tear yourself away from the pies---we almost never can---the Korean beef tacos are worth a look, or try one of the pastas, such as the baby clams and linguine in a lemon cream sauce. Salad portions are large and good for sharing. Soups, appetizers, sandwiches made with good hearth-baked focaccia and filling desserts round out the menu. |
