| Some people can't abide fancy-schmancy overwrought combinations of pizza toppings that have no relation to dough or tomato sauce. Other people like the idea of caramelized pears, Gorgonzola and ranch-dressed field greens sitting atop a crispy crust. New combinations are constantly being created so you never have to eat one iteration for too long. On the other hand, if you’re a devotee of the original barbecue chicken with smoked Gouda and red onions, you’ll also never have to see that go. Plenty of pastas reflect the Cal-cuisine theme, ranging from kung pao spaghetti to pesto cream penne. Bistro-like choices include a ginger salmon dish served with Chinese-style noodles, and chicken piccata in a lemon-caper sauce. Soups, salads, appetizers and sandwiches are served with hearth-baked focaccia, and filling desserts such as butter cake and tiramisu round out the menu.
