The availability of an in-house fine dining establishment like Capriccio Grill adds to the appeal of staying at The Peabody Memphis. Known for its flash-seared steaks and chops, the restaurant also offers a variety of pasta dishes, such as spaghetti Bolognese and pappardelle with chickpeas, pancetta and mustard greens. Sea salt baked potatoes and creamed spinach are among steakhouse favorite sides. For dessert, try one of the Peabody’s signature chocolate milkshakes or the Jack Daniel’s-soaked golden raisin bread pudding. The wine list is decent, and selections lean more toward labels from California with a few from Italy and Australia.

Worst service ever!!
by psaavedr on 08/11/2008

We went there for brunch on Sunday, August 10, 2008 and the food was good, but the service was the worst service I have ever had in my life. First, she came to serve us and told us to talk to her while she cleaned spilled coffee from the table next to us. Then, she never brought us any utensils, sugar, water, you name it until we requested it several times, more often getting these items from other servers rather than from her. She did however insist on bringing us our bill within 10 minutes of being in the restaurant, when it was obvious we were not done eating yet. What is worse, after complaining about it to the manager, he did not do anything about it and the service got even worst!!

Don't waste your money, time or energy in this place if you are looking for a fine brunch experience. I would instead recommend either Owens Brennan's or Texas de Brazil. The food in these two places is superb and the service is outstanding.

My experience at the Peabody/Capriccio was truly disappointing. Again, do not waste your time or money there, as it is not worth it in the least.
