THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Carlos' Place Restaurant Review

: With a name like Carlos' Place you do not expect an enigma. Alas, that is exactly what we found. Located on a hard to find side-street in Sleepy Hollow is a place that is as the name suggests, all Carlos. Tall and commanding, yet welcoming and eager, owner-manager-waiter Carlos greets you at the door, takes your order, and brings you your food---a literal one man show. He serves his hearty basic Italian fare in chubby portions while you dine under neatly framed eclectic movie posters. Dishes like steak pizzaiola, veal saltimbocca, and linguine with clam sauce are all above average, while Carlos' attempts at creative fare such as lobster ravioli fall closer to the bland side. Cap your meal with, what else, Carlos' choice: cream puffs and mini ├ęclairs that suffer from being too chewy and doughy. They do not seal the deal for a return trip but if you are in the neighborhood, stop by and you will be warmly received.
