Caroline's Dining on the River Restaurant Review: Boss Oyster's sister restaurant, Caroline's, adopts more of a fine dining mindset, but with the same straightforward, fish-centric American food sense. Presided over by Caroline Maddren, it's located in the Apalachicola River Inn and is the place to luxuriate in a lengthy Sunday brunch (opt for the oyster cakes or zingy shrimp Creole heaped over buttermilk biscuits). As with most places around here, the oysters and fresh finfish get the nod---you can watch the shrimp and fish boats tooling by outside with the day's catch. If you find yourself with time before dinner, the on-site Spoonbill Lounge is a proper perch for sipping a cocktail while viewing the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico.
