Carvers Steak & Chops Restaurant Review: Early birds flock for the juicy steaks and tournedos Oscar --- filet medallions with crab, asparagus and béarnaise sauce --- but don’t forget to start with the calamari. Plenty of chicken and seafood entrées are available, too, and a little Cajun influence is seen in such dishes as Andrew's Cajun shrimp, Cajun salmon fettuccine Alfredo and Cajun lamb chops. The burger, made from hand-ground steak, is a lean yet hearty meal. Offerings on the bar menu include the popular Prime rib "dippers" made from shavings of the rib with a chili-mayo sauce. From the pastry chef comes cheesecake turtle-style with chocolate, caramel and sugar-glazed almonds, or berry-style with Melba sauce, raspberries and blackberries. Diners can enjoy a medley of martinis from Apple-tinis to "midnight" martinis with Kahlua.
