Across from his famed roast pork stand, Tony Luke has fashioned a restaurant that is a total 1950s throwback. In the brash, bright dining room, waitresses chat with the customers, as they consume huge platters of spaghetti and meatballs, Caesar salads, mussels and veal Parmiagano. The menu, the neighborhood crowd, and not least, the prices, seem frozen in time. You can get a decent bottle of wine for under $20.00, and for dessert, the hard-to-find, much missed spumoni is offered.
