 Over the last quarter of a century, the proprietors of Casanova have carved out a niche as tastemakers and trend arbiters of the Central Coast. The restaurant's singular interior décor, world-class wine cellar and French-Med cuisine make it a must-visit for epicureans. Each night, a three-course dinner begins with assorted appetizers, olives, cheese and bread, and continues with entrées such as pan-seared salmon with ratatouille Provençale, pasta in a goat cheese pesto sauce or a grilled veal chop with sautéed morel mushrooms. A warm chocolate cake with an oozing center is a lovely finale. Service is friendly and professional. Wine buffs should arrange for a personal tour of the hand-dug cellar led by one of the in-house sommeliers to view more than 30,000 bottles from all around the world.
