| Rustic and romantic meet in this cozy, dimly lit dining room nestled in the center of Makawao town. Moderately priced, classic Italian cuisine is beautifully presented with fresh, locally grown ingredients. For starters, we like the gamberi e fagioli---skewers of charbroiled shrimp served atop cannellini beans---and the garlic-sautéed asparagus wrapped in prosciutto with goat cheese. Entrées can be served with creamy risotto, and assorted pastas, like the homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli with a fresh sage and truffle oil cream sauce, kiawe-wood-fired pizzas, and “l’ossobuco di vitello” are options as well. Casanova is a top upcountry nightspot for dancing and live music Wednesdays through Saturdays and every other Sunday afternoon. |
