 Cass House Inn & Restaurant Restaurant Review: Cass House is a go-to spot for special occasion dinners, and rightly so given the restaurant’s attention to detail. Ingredients like basil-fed snails, a chicken giblet-thigh confit and whipped truffle ricotta contribute to the spectrum of flavors seen in each dish. The menu changes almost nightly, but favorites have included a lamb and roasted beet appetizer, smoked local salmon ravioli, and grass-fed beef tenderloin dry-aged for 90 days and served with a silky bordelaise. The house-cured salumi course is always a winner, and desserts typically include seasonal fruits like blueberries served with a Sauternes sabayon. The wine list is impressive for a place of this size, offering an equal mix of notable local labels and international selections, and both wines-by-the-glass and half bottles. |
