Cayenne Mediterranean Cafe Restaurant Review: A lively Mediterranean restaurant, Cayenne offers a large menu of Middle Eastern, Greek and North African dishes, along with some pastas and pizzas in a colorful setting complete with silk curtains and pillows, ornate lanterns, fountain, and belly dancers. A large selection of mezes includes tabbouleh salad, falafel, stuffed grape leaves and spinach pie. Lamb, beef and chicken kebabs offer the best value, while Moroccan couscous, chicken with a pomegranate reduction, and cumin-marinated salmon represent house specialties. For breakfast, a variety of omelets and pancakes are available, and at lunch, the Zorba Burger (with feta cheese, onions and cucumbers) is stuffed into pita bread. For dessert, enjoy baklava or New York cheesecake with potent Turkish coffee, or indulge in a hookah on the sidewalk patio. |
