| Diners enjoy their meals surrounded by wall-size seascape murals accented with gleaming teak wood, the restaurant’s wine selection and blue hurricane lamps. An eclectic appetizer menu lists traditional favorites like shrimp cocktail and Maryland crab cakes as well as more contemporary choices like tuna sashimi, crab and avocado timbale and Sicilian calamari. Soups and salads include the legendary Charley’s chowder, a Mediterranean fish chowder as well as traditional New England-style clam chowder. Shrimp and lobster come prepared nearly a dozen different ways. Fresh fish at Charley’s includes cedar-planked salmon, King Cove sole topped with jumbo lump crab and lemon beurre blanc, and crab-crusted halibut with asparagus and ginger rice. For those who simply can’t set out to sea, a few steaks, a chicken entrée and pasta must suffice. |
