THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Chef Gerald's Restaurant Review:
Chef Gerald's is a small, low-key, tastefully-appointed eatery that feels like a neighborhood restaurant. That's assuming, of course, that your neighborhood is one of the tonier areas of Ponte Vedra. Chef Gerald McGuffin's menu of global flavors might be a bit of a splurge for less well-heeled mortals. Offerings range from Maine lobster to barbecued buffalo brisket to perfectly-spiced Creole gumbo. The nightly game study features two or three game presentations and often includes some version of quail or venison. Such entrées, along with imaginative side dishes like sweet potato hash with andouille and purple potato torte, make dining at Chef Gerald's a great adventure. Patrons who need an incentive to make a reservation might consider the restaurant's half-price wine specials on Mondays, the Wednesday prix-fixe menu or live piano music on Fridays.
