Chelino's Restaurant Review: Chelino's Mexican and Tex-Mex fare is offered up in an old building sporting wobbly metal chairs and minimalist surroundings. Plato "Garcia" (named for the owner) is a combination plate of beef, chicken, shrimp, rice, beans and homemade tortillas that serves four to six people. For a smaller party, try the enchiladas --- a big platter of rolled tortillas stuffed with shredded meat and accompanied by refried beans and rice. Fajita lovers will enjoy the sizeable strips of grilled beef, peppers and onions; alternatively, consider the grilled shrimp and catfish filet cooked in seasoned garlic butter and plated with rice and fresh avocado salad. Ask your server to accompany any of these dishes with an ice-cold beer in a frosted mug. |
