It's not Paris or even one of the suburbs, but the view of preppy Chestnut Hill from the sidewalk café is one of the most favored in town. You can be outdoors all year round on the terrace, but inside you'll find a chummy wood and brass bar and a pleasant dining room in warm shades of yellow. There are terra cotta floors, and local artists' paintings on the walls. The food is as laid back as the atmosphere and you can travel the world from this menu: New Orleans specials such as catfish fingers or coconut shrimp, Mexican quesadillas, spicy Asian noodles or Italian-style pastas. Entrées might include home-style brisket, grilled trout and Eastern Shore crab cakes. Have a pre- or postprandial drink and watch this particular world go by.
