After a brief closing, Cheyenne Grille & Sports Bar once again hums with neighborhood activity. Boasting some 40 TV screens broadcasting sundry sports events, the place draws singles and young families. Come for wings, nachos, quesadillas and other casual fare, but don't miss the Scotch eggs and the sweet potato fries. Sandwiches include a bevy of burgers, made from char-grilled Certified Angus beef. Our choice is the “black and bleu,” with bleu cheese and bacon, and the place has enough confidence in its meat to allow you to order it rare and produce it that way without an argument. Check for daily specials at the front door, such as tilapia. A good number of salads round out the menu. This is a beer operation, so enjoy a pint of your favorite draught or explore a new one from Cheyenne’s selection of two dozen. The wine list is a work in progress, and shows some thought.
