Chiboust Bistro & Bakery Restaurant Review: It wouldn't be difficult to imagine Chiboust on any boulevard in Paris. Tangy lemon curd meringue tarts, creamy banana dulce de leche crumbles, tarte Tatins and many other baked items stand enticingly in glass cases at this pâtisserie and boulangerie. But Chiboust is not all about baked goods. For those in the mood to pass an afternoon over a bottle of chilled wine, Chiboust also offers a list of old-world, Mediterranean and new-world whites and roses as well as reds by the bottle and many by the glass. Creative small plates include skewered snails with garlic butter and chorizo, moules frites, and a baby spinach salad tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette. Plats du jour range from grilled lamb chops with sweet potato mash to open ravioli paired with spinach, sun-dried tomato pesto, ricotta and fresh mozzarella. A number of thin-crust pizzas are available, too. |
