Chicago Chop House Restaurant Review: This wood-trimmed meatery is located in a restored Victorian brownstone, and it serves good steaks --- though not consistently. When dining here, the T-bone tends to fare well, and the side dishes are standouts, especially those of the potato persuasion. The nice-casual setting, convivial bar and solid seafood selections --- we’ll admit --- go a long way to smooth any rough edges. Try to get a seat in the comfortable, second- or third-floor dining rooms, which have high ceilings. The extensive wine list is well-traveled; about two-dozen pours are available by the glass. The whole experience is made all the more enjoyable with live nightly piano.
