| This train depot-turned-restaurant in the heart of Madeira is a suburban favorite. It's close to shopping and good for lazy days when you have nothing else on your agenda, or if you have kids and you're looking for more of a family dining spot than a romantic getaway. A model train runs overhead, and real-life trains sometimes pass outside on the CSX line. Choo Choo's keeps a basket of kids' toys and books available to help tame tantrums, and kids get a piece of candy on the way out. Service is on the slow side, but the nostalgic railroad memorabilia will give you something to look at as you wait for a table or for your omelet, breaded pork chops or burger. It's more than just kiddie food, though. Choo Choo's meatloaf is made with 100 percent Angus beef, and turkey is roasted daily. Save room for the triple chocolate brownie. |
