THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Chow Novo Restaurant Review: Central Coast foodies expect quality from the Covey family’s three restaurants (Robin’s, Novo, Chow Novo), and that’s what they get. Everything from the intriguing Mediterranean and Asian dipping sauces to the explosive ginger sorbet and decadent chocolate truffles is freshly made in-house. The lunch and dinner menus feature small plates, easily shared, like crispy calamari and mango-avocado spring rolls with plum and chile sauces. We love the signature stir-fry of soba noodles fragrant with garlic-ginger sauce, topped with seasonal al dente vegetables and tender chicken, prawns or tofu. There’s always something for the health-conscious like the seared salmon salad with shiitakes, arugula and daikon radish dressed in sesame-ginger vinaigrette. The wine list offers some of the Central Coast’s finest varietals mingled with appealing selections from around the world, or choose from assorted Mighty Leaf handcrafted teas. Servers are knowledgeable enough to help with wine pairings. Brightly-lit by large front windows at lunch, the dining room takes on a romantic glow at sunset.
