Italian and Greek comfort fare goes gourmet at this dimly lit restaurant, but the ambience is far from pretentious.
There’s a place for every kind of diner at Ciao Bella, from the loving couple to the diehard sports fan who can catch the game at the bar. The romantic ambience of the grotto seating area caters to date night while families might prefer the warm, inviting main dining room. Ciao Bella’s classic Italian and Greek comfort fare includes chicken, pork and veal served in numerous preparations and paired with a variety of pastas and sauces. Seafood offerings range from an Italian fish stew to pan-seared red snapper over angel hair pasta. Much of Ciao Bella’s produce is sourced from local Woodson Ridge Farms, so chef Jonathan Steenerson may use vegetables picked that very morning. Special diets, such as vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free, are accommodated upon request. As for dessert, save room for the house-made sorbetti and gelati. The small wine list offers selections from mostly California and Italy.
