Ciel! Restaurant Review

: The restaurant on the 28th floor of Hotel Le Concorde Quebec takes 90 minutes to do a full rotation, so take in the view of the Plains of Abraham before focusing on chef David Forbes’ broiled lobster, local veal cheeks and rabbit ravioli. By the time the historic battlefield reappears, you’ll be halfway through your banana cake with maple whiskey mousse and maple-caramel. Lunch is a traditionally French three-course affair with black sausage nuggets followed by apple-braised pork with caramelized endives or roasted fish with lentils and walnut sauce and a flaky, buttery cream puff. Brunch features yogurt with fruit and maple syrup or ricotta and asparagus omelets with potatoes and toast, while kids get french toast with strawberries or crêpes with pears. But order a side of homemade cretons, a pork pâté, for the table --- it is worth the indulgence.
