Cielo Restaurant Review: Located atop the 27th floor of the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, Cielo is a close-by bet when the need calls for a dining destination. The bi-level restaurant is open and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a striking moonlit view. The dining room is a rainbow of brilliant colors: orange, blue, purple and gold. Simple seafood and tender steaks will appeal to traditionalists, while Dos Equis beer-braised green lip mussels served with Spanish chorizo, cilantro and grilled bread attract more daring palates. Both steaks and chops are grilled at a searing 1,200 degrees to create a char-broiled crust while maintaining a juicy center. Add a cheese course of three or four selections to create a well-rounded dining experience. A lengthy list of wines is available. Try the flourless chocolate cake for dessert.
