CinCin Restaurant Review: Michael Wei, owner of Yangming in Bryn Mawr and a partner at Nectar in Berwyn, delivers much appreciated upscale Chinese cuisine to the northern Philly neighborhood of Chestnut Hill. Dark wood accents and etched glass panels enhance this tasteful spot, with forgiving lighting and soft music. Have a cocktail, and enjoy the salad of oranges, chicken and Belgian endive with a spicy dressing, the grilled rack of lamb with rosemary lemon grass and soy marinade, or another spicy dish---saké wild-peppered chicken. Firecracker veal escallops can also light a fire. Orange lobster and scallops, and a grilled whole fish, are milder. For dessert, try the fried bananas or a slab of ultra rich mud pie. |
