 Circa 55 Restaurant Review: California cuisine is offered at this poolside restaurant, named for the year The Beverly Hilton opened. With a wraparound view of the hotel pool, the dining room is sleek and modern. For breakfast, guests can order omelets or brioche french toast à la carte, or opt for a continental or American breakfast buffet. Chef de cuisine Zack Gochin helms the kitchen, which is also shared with neighboring restaurant Trader Vic's Lounge. Consequently, some of their Asian-inspired signatures, like the steamed lobster dumplings and Thai red curry, appear on the menu here alongside dishes such as Chilean sea bass with Chardonnay-lemon-fennel sauce, herb mashed potatoes and grilled seasonal vegetables. Dessert indulgences include warm chocolate pudding cake and a citrus cream cheese tart. The bar is lively and makes for a good excuse to linger. |
