California cuisine and steaks are offered at this poolside restaurant, named for the year The Beverly Hilton opened. Breakfasts include peppercorn-smoked salmon and brioche french toast with Turkish apricot compote. At lunch and dinner, expect starters like Maryland crab cakes with jalapeño-lime aïoli, shrimp cocktail and tuna tartare, followed by sautéed John Dory with crab tabbouleh, Prime steaks cooked in the 1,700-degree broiler, bone-in pork loin with caramel-ginger-apple butter and hickory-smoked baby-back ribs. With a wraparound view of the hotel pool, the dining room is sleek and modern. The bar is lively and its own menu---tuna sliders, a hefty burger, sushi rolls---makes for a good excuse to linger. |
