| The menu at this attractive bistro/trattoria, supplemented with about six market-driven daily specials, is straightforward, reflecting a philosophy of turning out dishes that skillfully emphasize freshness and flavor without letting busy preparations distract from the primary ingredients. The quality wine list---visually reinforced by framed enlargements of wine labels lining the restaurant's worn brick walls---is a nearly all-California affair, with an impressive 500 selections. We've had the best luck at Citrone concentrating on fresh salads and pastas, like penne in Gorgonzola sauce with porcini mushrooms and sausage. |
