THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Classics Restaurant Review

: It's not merely the elegant setting in Cleveland's InterContinental Hotel & Conference Center, or the proximity to the great minds at the internationally renowned Cleveland Clinic, or even the 5,000-bottle wine collection. What makes Classics such an excellent dining destination is the rich tradition of French and Continental cuisine as carried out by the able and stylish chef Guillaume Brard and his staff. Whether it's scallops carpaccio sliced paper-thin and fanned attractively around a morsel of mango-fig salad or a delicate Grand Marnier soufflé, diners enjoy some of the area's most acclaimed dishes with service to match. Private dining rooms at Classics host visiting dignitaries, celebrities and well-heeled foodies, but the main dining rooms feel hushed and secluded, too. Seated comfortably among elegant furniture, crystal and a calming color scheme of cream, taupe and gold, each guest feels pampered, even spoiled, by the solicitous staff. Those who aspire to elevate the dining experience to something truly special will revel in a visit to Classics.
