Clay's Smokehouse Restaurant Review

: Chef/owner Michael Slyman draws on his Southern childhood and experience working in his uncle's Oklahoma rib house to create his Northwest restaurant. Chicken, pork, beef, catfish and salmon are barbecued over a smoky blend of hickory, mesquite and alder woods. Expect tender portions with generous slatherings of sauce. But the vegetables and salads are equally worthy. Sides include baked beans, cornbread with maple butter, poppy seed slaw and garlic braised greens. Wash everything down with a tall glass of iced tea. For dessert, grab a slice of the homemade chocolate peanut butter or Key lime pie. Catering and bulk takeout orders are available.
