Once known for its savory brunch (including its now-famous blueberry pancakes), this 32-seat Lower East Side eatery has blossomed into a full-scale morning-to-night bastion of taste bud-tantalizing goodness. The rosemary chicken with carrot-parsnip purée and warm lentil soup seem designed to comfort the soul on a winter's day while the fish tacos and Maryland crab cakes are good any time of the year (and yes, those blueberry pancakes are available all day). But the best bargain might be the off-the-menu special: a Black Angus cheeseburger (which comes with homemade potato chips) and a Brooklyn Lager for $10.
