THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Club Cafe Restaurant Review:

Club Café is many things to many people. The bar is a hip-hopping destination for the city’s gay population; the restaurant serves an ambitious and contemporary strain of American cuisine; and the one-two punch of frequent live music and a lounge menu that’s available until 1 a.m. make this a popular late-night haunt. In the mood for a quick bite? Snag a seat at the bar and order a terrific burger, some juicy steak tips or a chicken Caesar wrap. Want something a little more challenging? Ask for a table in the two-tiered dining room and choose from a rack of lamb that’s sauced (perhaps too richly) with a tomato-sage béarnaise or grilled halibut with airy pasta pockets of shrimp and chervil. While we’ve found that the kitchen’s execution can be uneven, the food is invigorating when all systems are go.
