The Clubhouse Restaurant Review: Kevin Costner and Robert Wagner, who teamed with golfers Jack Nicklaus and Fred Couples, initially were behind this muraled spot with rich, red velvet curtains, wood trim and comfortable leather seating. The menu is likable, creative and diverse --- just the ticket given its mall locale. That’s got something to do with why it’s kid-friendly, too. A mound of lightly battered calamari sits atop a pool of sweet-spicy chile-ginger sauce with whirls of basil oil. Other solid, if predictable, snacks include bruschetta, which melds plum and sun-dried tomatoes with basil, onions, arugula and a drizzle of sweet balsamic glaze, and spinach-artichoke dip. The burgers and sandwiches are tasty, but the slow-roasted Prime rib is better. Wine dinners draw plenty of regulars.
