Clusters & Hops Restaurant Review: Never mind the name. Even though Clusters & Hops sounds like the moniker for a strip mall brewpub, this one-of-a-kind establishment reeks of urban chic. The small storefront packs a who's who of labels along its 1,200-plus bottle wine wall, as well as an extensive selection of beers, oils, vinegars, seasonings, chocolates and gadgets. And did we mention a selection of 100 different artisanal cheeses as well as sausages, cured meats, pâté and caviar? In the same tiny space, Clusters & Hops serves creative dishes to dinner patrons. White truffle mac ‘n’ cheese is a good choice among the shared tapas selections. Decadent desserts like bananas Foster pie and nutty apple-praline parfait are big enough to share, but if you order the old-fashioned root beer float, you'll want to keep it all to yourself. |
