| Picking up where the Claremont Café left off, this funky neighborhood café aims to please everyone with its wildly eclectic menu, veering from Mexican to Italian to American and back again. Of course, you know what they say about jacks-of-all-trades; and sure enough, very few dishes display mastery, although most are perfectly competent. Your best bets, in our view, are Mexican dishes, their flavors singing out loud; pastas, on the other hand, groan under the weight of theirs. Of course, this being the South End, the quality of the mixology matters as much as or more than the cut of the cuisine, and we're happy to say it's optimal. Besides, the folks are friendly and the tabs put those of its pricey neighbors to shame. |
