Cyclops Restaurant Review: Located on the ground floor of the hip Ace Hotel, Cyclops is easily recognized by its giant, blinking blue neon eye. Best known for its all-day breakfast and as a late-night people-watching venue, the funky spot with red vinyl seating and somewhat campy interior serves up good food at reasonable prices. Appetizer-grazing is easy with starters such as a roasted chicken quesadilla, the generous hummus plate or polenta arrabbiata. Daily entrées range from a bourbon molasses-soaked pulled pork sandwich on a toasted brioche bun to a grilled chicken baguette with Fontina, cilantro pesto and ancho-lime aïoli. Be sure to check the daily fresh sheet for classics like cornmeal-crusted chicken, spicy chipotle-glazed pork chops and the daily fish special. A full bar makes all libations possible.
