With a pedigree from such distinguished kitchens as Criolla's in Grayton Beach and The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Gwynn's enthusiasms lie in the arena of updating and dignifying down-home Southern classics. This may mean creamy Gulf Coast oysters and biscuits with applewood-smoked bacon dotted with chive and tomato concassé. On the other hand, take a look at his super-luxurious version of shrimp and grits. The wine list is thoughtful (largely American boutique wineries), and the décor casually elegant.
