THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Daily Grill Restaurant Review:
This all-American restaurant chain knows how to please its customers---with huge portions of dishes known and loved by most: chicken potpie, meatloaf, New York strip steak and the like. The ambience is comfortable too, with wood floors, comfy booths and tables, large glass displays of wine bottles and friendly, efficient servers. There aren’t many surprises, but then that isn’t what you are looking for when you come here. Standouts include the entrée-size Cobb salad and the New York pepper steak, topped with bacon and onion. Without a doubt, a good deal is the daily prix-fixe menu, which includes soup or salad, a choice of three or four entrées, and either a glass of wine or dessert. The “rush hour” bar menu, offered weekdays from 4 p.m.-7 p.m., with smaller portions of popular dishes, draws in the after-work crowd.
