THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Dan Marino's Town Tavern Restaurant Review: With the proliferation of restaurants that use a theme to their advantage, Dan Marino's Town Tavern may be at a disadvantage. After all, Dan Marino is a football player, not the best selling point for fine food. Look past the name---and the Miami Dolphins-star-in-a-tavern theme---and you'll be pleased with what you find. Of course, the menu has steak - and a rather large 28-ounce cowboy-sized Delmonico cut at that. The beef is prepared perfectly, grilled over an oak fire. But the menu is a gold mine of trendy favorites done well: sesame tuna, wood-roasted salmon, blackened mahi mahi, and an incredible slab of meat loaf thrown in for good measure. It'll be tough to save room for dessert, but the almond basket is well worth trying. |
