 Dante is an intimate restaurant in a unique space (the former Third Federal Savings & Loan building), serving modern American cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal and local fare. Once you take in the unique setting (be sure to look up, as the chandelier is striking), we suggest starting with the crispy calamari with rock shrimp or day boat scallops. From there, don’t bypass one of the house-made pastas, such as linguine alla carbonara, though be mindful to save room for three-cheese polenta. Among main courses, we recommend the tender, rich rabbit leg confit, and the well seasoned, flaky grilled redfish. For dessert, try the Ohio apple-walnut tartlet or jar of crème brûlée. The cocktail and wine lists are both well written, if not slightly under-adventurous.
