| Hidden in a nondescript strip center, this is a decidedly casual but handsome little place, with cozy booths, tapestry-covered walls, and Persian artifacts strewn about the room. The servers at this family-operated eatery go out of their way to accommodate their guests and the food is authentic and well-prepared. A bowl of garlicky lentil soup is a soulful way to start, and the kebab plates---we enjoy the chicken barg and the beef koubideh---are served with a mountain of saffron-scented basmati rice and are large enough to share. Another tasty specialty is the fesenjan, a traditional chicken stew with walnuts and pomegranate juice. |
