Dixie Grill Bar-B-Que & Crab Shack Restaurant Review: Dixie Grill looks at first blush like a theme bar, a sort of ersatz Southern crab shack dropped in urban Honolulu. Lines form out front for the food---catfish, barbecue ribs and chicken, boil-and-peel shrimp, popcorn shrimp, crabs both soft- and hard-shelled. You can opt for the trash can buffet, which is essentially all of the above, plus sides of beans, corn on the cob and slaw. Dixie Grill is a good all-ages place to eat, one of the few in Honolulu that stays open late. There’s outdoor dining as well, although the lanai faces a busy intersection.
