Owners Allen and Kris Holmes dig deeply into their family recipe trove to deliver authentic Charleston food and baked goods with their own innovative spin. Breakfast and lunch dishes run the gamut from crawfish Benedict to Southern fried chicken brined in tea. Shrimp and grits, flecked with bacon and onion, blue-plate specials, the Dixie burger and some of the sweetest tea ever concocted are additional highlights. With its layers of tomato, basil, cheese and spring onions, Dixie's heirloom tomato pie has been a longtime signature dish.
