The Dodo Restaurant Restaurant Review: Unlikely to meet the sad fate of its namesake bird, this quirky, unpretentious restaurant nesting next to a parking garage has a huge heart and an interesting menu that seems to work best at brunch or lunch. Appetizers include a pie of artichoke hearts, cheddar cheese and onions; crab-and-asparagus cakes; and gravlax and cream cheese---fun food pairings that satisfy. Try the Dodo herbed chicken over mornay pasta, which features large breast tenders, or the honey-mustard baked Atlantic salmon. Unfortunately, the pan-fried steak was a little too pan-fried and the veggie medley, overcooked and soggy. Chunky, garlicky mashed potatoes, however, held the perfect balance of textures. We often feel the urge to head straight for dessert here, especially after a movie, tucking happily into a long list of delights, including a gooey, sinfully sweet Tollhouse pie.
