Don Pablo's Restaurant Review: It is no coincidence that stepping into Don Pablo's is like entering a village plaza in some border town. But forget the décor and try the enchiladas, as they are convincing enough. Start with the chips and salsa or queso blanco dip and one of the many variations of margaritas. For something a little bit different, try the mesquite grilled shrimp with cilantro-lime butter sauce, or stick to the familiar with the four amigos enchiladas---one of each of the four varieties they serve. If you are looking for a light dining option, try a red river salad with chicken and avocado, or the Mama's Skinny Enchiladas entrée---three chicken enchiladas with a red ranchero sauce topped with cheese. Looking for a quick meal? The house salad is better than average and the tortilla soup is fine. |
