Rustic French cooking is a springboard to delightful global forays in this East Nashville restaurant run by Willy and Yvette Thomas, who also operate Park Café on the other side of the river. Start with a local cheese plate, drawing from creameries within 100 miles of Music City. Graduate to a Hereford strip steak, raised in-state, or perhaps a dish of ricotta cavatelli with local tomatoes and oyster mushrooms. Do not miss the green chili mac ‘n’ cheese, offered at both the owners’ restaurants for good reason. For dessert, the espresso brownie is consistently good, but the blueberry beignets with white chocolate sauce are even better. The wine list evinces a soft spot for whimsically named varieties, but there are plenty of seriously silky selections, not many above $50 a bottle.
