THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED El Patio Restaurant Review: The formidable spaces in this popular source of familiar Latin American fare may bring to mind one of those 1940s-vintage musical films with Rio in the title. But Tex-Mex and Cuban, not Brazilian, are the menus mainstays at El Patio. Its been around for decades, and in less trendy times it was the standard setter in the New Orleans area. Now the place is beginning to show its age in a ceviche that lacks freshness, a soggy fish Veracruzana, and Tex-Mex combination platters that dont have the old snap.
