El Vez is fantasia Mexicana with wild décor including a gold-plated low-rider and tableside guacamole. The music blares, the bar scene draws the young and good-looking, the food is tasty and the margaritas are potent. Offerings include sweet corn soup with huitlacoche, tacos of mahi mahi, duck confit flautas and a fresh selection of ceviches. The slow roasted pork tacos spiked with jalapeños are a must. Try sopapillas for dessert. It's more Cadillac Bar than Margaritaville, but you'll like it. The outside dining scene is also fun in warm weather.
