 ELBULLI HAS CLOSED AND WILL TRANSITION INTO THE ELBULLI FOUNDATION Ferran Adrià 's vibrant kitchen is only open for a limited time of the year, but when it is, the mix of Catalan and International cuisine is, at the very least, innovative. After closing on July 31, 2011, the restaurant will transition into the elBulli Foundation, a "think tank" for avant-garde gastronomy that is scheduled to open in 2014. There will also be annual opportunities for a select number of diners to experience the fruits of the foundation's labor.
