Ella Dining Room & Bar Restaurant Review

: Ella delivers a memorable dining experience with its professional service, classy design and inventive, high-end menu. The multi-million dollar design is evident in the white floor-length draperies that flow throughout and the imported, colorful wooden shutters that cover the ceiling. Two tables d’hôte provide front-row views of the artistry behind the scenes. The menu is contemporary, with a focus on seasonal, local ingredients. The menu includes selections from the cold bar, small plates, salads, vegetables, pasta, fish and meat, allowing diners to mix-and-match. Starters include pan-roasted white prawns with garlic-shallot butter and braised lamb flatbread. Sonoma duck breast with roasted pears, slow-roasted beef tenderloin and chicken breast with a ragoût of butter beans are entrées. Desserts are just as enticing, such as the maple crème blintzes with bacon-praline ice cream and chocolate semifreddo with banana mousse.

Best food in Sactown!

My husband and I had dinner at Ella's last night. What a treat! This place is a gem in Sacarmento where the fine dining choices are a little slim! The decor has a beautiful simplicity and the service was attentive yet not stuffy. The gin and tonic was THE BEST we have both ever had! The food was exquisite! My favorite was the gnocchi, and my husband loved the crispy pork belly, both from the small plate menu. The green beans were tasty, but a little heavy for me, and the chocolate brownie dessert was a little too hard. Overall, it was one of the tastiest dining experiences we've ever had! Not too hard on the wallet too...we ordered 1 cocktail each, 5 items from the menu, dessert, and coffee for $125. Definitely welll worth it!
